Fractional Exponent

In v2.0, Realtime Mandelbrot gives you control over the iteration count via a 3rd slider, and it adds something very special: a fractional exponent slider. Working in real-time.

Changing the exponent to non-integer (or negative) values dramatically changes the geometry of the fractal and opens vistas into very different fractal worlds.

Note to advanced users: The magnitude of the slider depends on the zoom scale. This is done so as to allow fine-tuned control when zoomed-in deeply.

If you tap the Reset button, the zoom will reset to show the whole fractal, but the scale of this slider is kept at the last zoom scale to permit you to see in which way the overall geometry is affected. Pan slightly to sync the slider’s range to the reset zoom scale.
